School Leavers

Save by the Bell is currently in 31 Primary schools and 13 Nurseries across Dundee. We are currently in the process of extending this project to secondary schools. Please have a look at our Secondary School page for more information about the new financial awareness project. At present, we do not have collection points in any of the secondary schools in Dundee, but this does not mean that you cannot continue to save as you finish P7.

All our savers can either continue to save through another sibling currently in the school or through one of the Discovery Credit Union (DCU) community collection points across Dundee (see list below). Save by the Bell members are Discovery Credit Union Junior Savers and therefore your account will be automatically transferred once the saver leaves primary school and they can continue to save until the age of 16 years. After that, you get a choice to continue as a full member of DCU for an annual fee of £3.50 or withdraw your money and close the account. All savers will be informed of any changes to their account by post.
